Cubic boron nitride (cBN) crystal is a natural man does not exist in a wide band gap semiconductor material, the band gap of about 6.3eV, with sphalerite structure, macroscopic symmetry of belonging to a group. cBN crystal in the entire visible spectrum and the infrared and ultraviolet spectral range are very transparent. Therefore, cBN as  synthetic diamond powder  crystal material, will be able to make the second harmonic output  synthetic diamond . The second-order nonlinear susceptibility of the crystal is a measure of one kind of important performance parameters of the nonlinear crystal. Currently, there are about yet found any second-order nonlinear susceptibility CBN measurement research reports.
