1970s developed into a super-hard tool materials

Polycrystalline Diamond Compact (PDC), was developed in the 1970s into a superhard cutting tool materials. It is made with the tool being used to cut a variety of non-ferrous metals and non-metals, and can be used to cut wheel. In the cutting wheel when it has the following features: a high hardness and wear resistance:  cubic boron nitride  diamond layer  synthetic diamond  is generally HV7000 ~ 9000, and the direction, the hardness of the abrasive wheel usually 2 to 4 times. Cutting wheel with it a high degree of durability, the volume wear ratio up to 1/13 million. Quality wear ratio up to 1/300 000, thus reducing production costs. Has a high  grinding wheel : The flexural strength of the diamond 210 ~ 490MPa, and the PDC composite blade has a thicker layer below the carbide support high bending strength, bending strength of the composite up to 1500 MPa, so in the cutting process, no chipping or breakage.
